CALL FOR JOINT PROJECT PROPOSALS

The Indo-Portuguese Program of Cooperation in Science and Technology facilitates bilateral cooperation between scientists/researches of the two countries by way of exploratory visits, joint R&D projects, and joint seminars/workshops. The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology of India and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), Ministry of Science, Technology & Higher Education are the nodal agencies to implement the program in India and Portugal on the respective sides.
Program is open to scientists, engineers, institutions engaged in advanced research in the above referred areas in India and Portugal. The project period would be three years.
The Principal Investigator (PI) and other investigators in India and Portugal should be Scientists/Faculty Members working in regular capacity in Government recognized Universities/Deemed Universities, Academic Institutes and National Research & Development Laboratories/ Institutes. The Indian PI should not be retiring during the proposed duration of the project.
The proposals are selected by both parties Financial support available for the exchange visit component is as follows:
The sending side would provide economy/excursion return international airfare up to the relevant entry city of the host country as well as medical insurance. The receiving side would arrange in -country travel of the visiting scientists by appropriate means and provide local hospitality.
